David Kukkola A Traditional Healer
His approach integrates Shiatsu, Traditional
Chinese Medicine, tongue and pulse diagnosis, food as medicine, releasing
body blockages, counseling, custom-made herbal remedies, and creating
ceremonies to activate and facilitate the healing process in individuals.
David also teaches and facilitates “Healing Circles” for men,
women, children and families to support the fundamental rebuilding of
our communities. David has studied and worked with
healers from traditions around the world, including Native American, Asian,
African and European cultures. The foundation of his healing practice
was established at the Namikoshi Shiatsu College in the early 1980’s
where, while living in a Buddhist temple, he studied under the tutelage
of Shiatsu Master, Tokujiro Namikoshi, and graduated with a Shiatsu Practitioners
Degree. During his studies in Japan, David
learned the ancient Art of Kanpo, which means “The Old Way.”
This ancient healing tradition integrates the practices of natural healing;
meditation and prayer, diet, exercise, herbs and body therapy. He comments, “With conscious
listening to your story, the invisible thread reveals itself and the interplay
of health and disease is discovered. At the crossroads where these two
opposing energies intersect, known by Native American healers as the ‘holy
land’, opportunities for healing begin.” “Hope is rekindled when all has been lost and a loving hand reaches out and touches your soul.” |
